Senior Data Engineer


CTG is assisting their client with remote position for a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys cloud technologies, data warehousing, data analytics, and designing innovative analytical solutions, this job may be for you!

Duration: 6 months



As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information, tailored to stakeholder needs. You will collaborate with analysts, data scientists, data engineers, finance analysts, and SAP engineers across CRL to develop comprehensive data solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving the data architecture for a world-class revenue forecasting model. You will help the team by curating and organizing both internal and external revenue drivers necessary for the forecasting model.

Your responsibilities will include continually improving reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers. You will contribute to developing the technical strategy for transforming data into actionable insights, creating complex queries for ad hoc requests and ongoing reports. You will optimize the performance of business-critical queries and manage ETL job-related issues. This high-impact role directly influences the company's bottom line.

The ideal candidate possesses an excellent understanding of efficient and scalable data engineering and the ability to leverage data in financial and statistical modeling. They are adept at creating strategic recommendations thoughtfully and concisely, securing organizational buy-in at senior levels. They are well-organized, capable of managing multiple analyses and projects simultaneously, and are intellectually curious.


The following are responsibilities related to the Senior Data Engineer:

  • Interacts with senior level customers to consult on scalable enterprise analytics solutions that provide the business with a competitive advantage.
  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Design and build a modern data warehouse in the cloud
  • Design and build a customer 360
  • Implement a flexible and audible data pipeline
  • Enhance data collection procedures to build analytic systems.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and user friendly manner
  • Perform testing, resolve issues and automate unit tests.
  • Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to help business units better visualize their business needs and to clarify requirements for development.

Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with Azure technologies like Azure SQL, Data Bricks, ADLS, Azure Data Factory
  • Experience with Microsoft BI Stack - SSIS, SSAS, SSRS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Master’s Degree preferred

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
